At the recent Australian National Surf Lifesaving Championships, I witnessed teams giving their all after months of dedicated training. Commitment, shared purpose, trust, and mutual challenge were the differentiators. In business, if your team isn’t prepared to push themselves, what changes do they truly own?

Key 1: Ignite Unwavering Commitment

Champion teams don’t show up for the paycheck—they show up for the purpose.

  • Define a clear, compelling mission beyond numbers.
  • Tie it to something bigger: a shared impact or collective pride.
  • Celebrate small milestones so people feel momentum, not pressure.
